Yaupon Pier will be having a year long Fishing Tournament
that will
begin March 24, 2007 and end Thanksgiving Weekend. There will
be a $10.00 Entry Fee per species. The species are King
Mackerel,
Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, Trout and Blues
TOURNAMENT RULES:
The entry fee is $10.00 per fish species you would like to
enter.
There are five different fish species to choose from: King
Mackerel,
Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, Trout and Blues. At the end of the
tournament the winners of the biggest single fish in each
category
will receive 70% of total, 2nd largest will receive 20% and 3rd
10%
You must sign up for the tournament before going out on
the pier to
fish.
A card will be filled out with your name, address, date and the
fish
species your fishing for. ( you can enter any or all species)
Once you have caught and weighed in a fish, the weight and
time
will also be written on the card.
If there should be a tie in any category the person who
weighed in
the first fish will be the winner.
The tournament will begin March 24, 2006 and end Thanksgiving
Weekend, November 26, 2006.
The $10.00 entry fee per species is separate from the Pier fishing
permit.
All fish must be caught on Yaupon Pier.
All fish must be weighed by Yaupon Pier Staff.
All fish entered must meet current North Carolina
Recreational
Fishing Regulations.
